Neotame is a derivative of the dipeptide composed of the amino acids aspartic acid and phenylalanine. It is 7,000–13,000 times as sweet as sugar and 30–60 times as sweet as aspartame. Neotame is a high-intensity sweetener which enables the creation of great tasting sweet products while simultaneously reducing or eliminating the use of sugar.
