PAA is a sodium salt of polyacrylic acid is a homopolymer that has broad applications in-home care products. PAA comes with average molecular weights of 2,000-100,000 g/mol. It is used as an anti-redeposition agent, scale inhibition, and dispersant.
MAAA are polymers of acrylic acid or copolymers of acrylic acid and maleic acid. The polymer is used as sodium salt. These sodium (acrylic acid maleic acid) copolymers come with an average range molecular weight of 20,000-70,000 g/mol. It is highly effective as a dispersant and sequestering agent and shows good actions up to high alkaline pH, high hardness, and temperature without precipitation. Apart from thermal stability product has good stability to oxidizing and reducing agents.
