It is insoluble in water, alcohol, and ether, but disperses in aromatic hydrocarbons and chlorinated solvents when heated. Produced by reacting stearic acid with zinc oxide, it is classified as a zinc soap—an organic metal salt of a fatty acid.

    Zinc stearate is widely used as a release agent, lubricant, and anti-caking agent across industries such as plastics, rubber, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, and coatings. Its hydrophobic and non-stick properties make it ideal for improving processability, moisture resistance, and surface finish in various formulations. Application & Usage:

  • PVC Stabilizer: Zinc Stearate PS acts as a co-stabilizer alongside calcium stearate or barium stearate in mixed metal stabilizer systems. Often used in Calcium-Zinc (Ca-Zn) stabilizers, which are widely adopted in non-toxic applications (e.g., food packaging, medical tubing, toys).
  • Polymer Compound : Zinc Stearate PC due to its extreme fine particle size allows for good mixing control and ensures high quality surfaces with most polymer compounds . it improves pigment dispersion and reduces the blending time.
  • Paint And Coatings: Zinc Stearate PT is an Standard Zinc Stearate grade with extreme fine particle size and good initial whiteness which is produced via Direct Fusion Process that offers good lubrication and excellent purity.This grade is ideal for paint application especially NC Sealer & Polymer applications requiring consistently fine particle size and excellent dispensability.Due to its extreme fine particle size allows for good mixing control and ensures high quality surfaces in Paints & Polymer Compounds.
  • Rubber: Zinc Stearate PS Enhances crosslinking efficiency by improving the solubility and reactivity of zinc oxide. This leads to better curing properties and improved physical performance of the final rubber product.It helps improve dispersion of fillers like carbon black and silica.
