General Description
Di-Iso-Butyl Phthalate (DIBP) is a widely used phthalate ester plasticizer known for its excellent solvency, fast fusion characteristics, and compatibility with a broad range of polymers. It is a clear, colorless to pale yellow oily liquid with low volatility and good permanence.
DIBP is primarily used to impart flexibility, softness, and improved processing behavior to plastics and elastomers. Due to its lower viscosity compared to DBP, it offers improved flow, faster gelation, and enhanced processing efficiency in PVC, cellulose resins, and coating formulations. It is also used as a solvent and plasticizing aid in adhesives, inks, and specialty chemical systems.
