General Description
Polyamide Hardeners are epoxy curing agents derived from the reaction of dimerized fatty acids with polyamines. They are widely used in epoxy resin systems where flexibility, strong adhesion, and chemical resistance are required. These hardeners are supplied as viscous liquids and are known for providing tough, impact-resistant cured films with good moisture tolerance.
Polyamide Hardeners offer extended pot life, excellent wetting of substrates, and strong adhesion to concrete, metals, and composites. Their balanced curing profile makes them suitable for ambient-temperature curing applications in coatings, adhesives, flooring, and marine systems.
Chemical Properties
• Amine value 220-250 mg KOH/g,
• Viscosity 8,000-12,000 cPs at 25°C
Technical Specification
• AHEW: 340-360;
• Gel time (100g mix): 4-6 hrs at 25°C;
• Color: 8 max Gardner.
Applications
Protective Coatings: Used in anticorrosive, marine, and industrial epoxy coatings.
Adhesives and Sealants: Used in structural adhesives requiring flexibility and strong bonding.
Flooring Systems: Used in epoxy flooring, grouts, and repair mortars.
