Phenalkamine Hardeners are high-performance epoxy curing agents derived from the reaction of cardanol with polyamines. They are engineered for fast curing, excellent adhesion, and superior chemical resistance, particularly in demanding environments. Supplied as low-viscosity liquids, phenalkamines enable efficient curing even at low temperatures and under high humidity conditions.
These hardeners are widely used in protective coatings, marine applications, flooring systems, and structural adhesives where rapid cure, early water resistance, and long-term durability are critical. Their unique molecular structure delivers a balanced combination of toughness, flexibility, and corrosion protection.
• Type: Standard phenalkamine / Modified phenalkamine
• Viscosity (25°C): Low to medium, grade dependent
• Mixing Ratio: As per epoxy system design
Protective Coatings: Used in anticorrosive coatings for steel structures, pipelines, and offshore assets.
Marine and Offshore: Used in coatings and repair systems exposed to saltwater and high humidity.
Flooring Systems: Used in fast-curing epoxy floors and repair compounds.
Adhesives and Sealants: Used where rapid strength development and strong adhesion are required.
Infrastructure and Maintenance: Used in maintenance coatings requiring short return-to-service times.
• Application-Level Compliance
• Potable water compatibility
• Sustainability & ESG Aspects
• Cashew nutshell liquid (CNSL) origin declaration
• Bio-based content (%) – important for “green coatings”
• Renewable raw material statement
• IBCs and Drums
• High purity suitable for regulated applications
• Dual functionality as solvent and preservative
• Mild odor and low volatility
• Broad compatibility with pharmaceutical and cosmetic formulations
Conditions for safe storage –
• Store in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated area, away from direct sunlight and heat sources
• Keep containers tightly closed in their original, clean packing to prevent contamination and moisture ingress
• Recommended storage temperature is ambient (typically below 30°C); avoid prolonged exposure to high temperatures
• Store away from strong oxidizing agents, acids, and alkalis
